- Approach the hottest leads first
- Leave printout of key metrics (e.g. users, top buyers etc.) after meeting investors. Leave only the cherry with them and not the cake.
- Get to "how much are you raising" and "for what purpose" in the first few sentences. Leave out the "valuation" for later.
- Make sure you have good news to give in the follow up meetings (so prepare accordingly). For example - if you are an e-com company, don't reduce your marketing budget when you are in the middle of discussions with investors.
